Vocational-technical high schools offer a multitude of courses designed to develop the job skills of tomorrow. The Cambria County region recognizes that our educational system is a key to our economic redevelopment and our commitment reflects that understanding.

Both resident and nonresident higher education opportunities abound in the region as well. The University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown is located on a 650 acre wooded campus. UPJ combines a strong academic reputation and outstanding resources of a major university with the appeal of a smaller college. St Francis University is a co-educational liberal arts college and an MBA program offered from the"college among the pines" campus in Loretto.

Cambria - Rowe Business College serves students in business administration, accounting and microcomputer applications.

Mount Aloysius College, a small liberal arts college with a Catholic affiliation, offers four year degrees, including masters, two-year associate and certificate programs.

Pennsylvania Highlands Community College offers associate degree programs at both their Johnstown and Ebensburg campuses.
