The Community Arts Center of Cambria County offers a variety of programs, exhibits, workshops, festivals, concerts and an art reference library. There is a wide selection of mu seums in the area, as well as theater groups. The Johnstown Symphony Orchestra has over 120 professional musicians. There are many festivals throughout the year and the colorful ethnic heritage offers an alluring exhibit of the various backgrounds in the heart of Cambria County.
RECREATION
Recreational Activities abound in Cambria County. Nestled in the Allegheny Mountains, there are hiking trails, fishing streams, swimming, boating, horseback riding, hunting and golf all at your back door. Prince Gallitzin State Park and Glendale Lake offe r recreation and relaxation in a beautiful mountain setting.

Johnstown is home to two professional sports franchises. The Johnstown Steal baseball team are the two-year reigning champions of the Frontier League. The Johnstown Chiefs compete in the East Coast Hockey Leagu e.

Sports fans also love the amatuer tournaments that are held every year. Johnstown is home to the All-American Amatuer Baseball Association Tournament (AAABA), Sunnehanna Amateur Golf Tournament for Champions, and other sporting events.

There is no shortage of outdoor activities in Cambria County. From fishing to hunting, to skiing and snowmobiling, Cambria County is in the heart of some of the best outdoor recreation in Pennsylvania.

When Spring arrives in Cambria County you can be sure to find the area's lakes and streams dotted with anglers hoping for the "big catch". Some of the best lake fishing can be found at Glendale Lake at Prince Gallitzin State Park near Patton, Duman Dam ne ar Belsano, and Lake Rowena in Ebensburg. While Duman and Rowena are annually stocked with trout, bass and pike can be found there as well. Glendale Lake offers a wide variety of warm water species including bass, muskelunge, and walleye.

Chest Creek, which extends from north-central Cambria County to Clearfield County, is considered the area's best trout stream.

The hunting of deer, bear ruffled grouse, turkey, pheasant is famously popular along with fishing.

The warmer temperatures of late spring and summer generate a heightened level of activity in the scenic woodlands of Cambria County. Mountain Bikers can take to the many gameland roads and snowmobile trails for an exhilarating ride across the ridges and t hrough the valleys of the Southern Alleghenies.
