LOCATION
Cambria County is located in south-central Pennsylvania, approximately 90 minutes east of Greater Pittsburgh and 2 1/2 hours west of Harrisburg. The largest metropolitan city is Johnstown. The county seat, Ebensburg, located in Cambria Township, is also the site of the two Cambria County Industrial Parks.

Established almost two centuries ago, Cambria County was in the forefront of the country's Industrial Revolution -- the heart of the early iron and mining industry.

After almost 200 years, this tradition of hard work and a strong work ethic is still alive.

Within a day's trucking, Cambria County can serve major metropolitan areas such as Pittsburgh, Cleveland, Richmond, Baltimore, Washington D.C., New York, Harrisburg, Buffalo and Philadelphia. Seventy-five million people are located within 300 miles, linked by an ever-improving, solid transportation network.

HISTORY
The area is rich in tradition and has developed a work force that is known for its high precision, dependability, strong work ethic and strength. Throughout the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, coal mining and iron & steel production had been the keystone of Cambria County's economic base. However, like most of the northeast, as well as much of the United States, the manufacturing base is being replaced by service and service-related businesses. The city of Johnstown is the largest and probably most well-known community in the county. Devastated by three major floods in 1889, 1936, and 1977, Johnstown has become a legend the hard way. But, by rebounding time and time again, the area has rebuilt and created an even bri ghter future for the area residents and its business and industry.
